Roweburn, Ettrick is the home of Robert and
Shiela Dalziel. Located in the famous Scottish
borders, prominent in Scotland's long struggle
for independence from England, it is about 50
miles Southeast of Edinburgh on the borders of
Selkirkshire and Dumfriesshire. This rough land,
above the tree line, is where Bobby Dalziel with
his Border Collies shepherd around 1000
Blackface. This is where the Border Collie's true
value is realized, for without his dogs Bobby
could not readily manage his sheep. Bobby
believes that practical work should be the basis
for a successful collie.
Together, Bobby and Shiela have created a
"home away from home" for Border Collie
enthusiasts. Roweburn is also a B&B, where dog
training, trialing and dog kenneling are available.
